about

Sarah Robins is a graphic designer and illustrator living in Huntsville, Alabama. Having come from a line of artists, she was surrounded by creativity as a child and happily developed an early love of art, art history, and nature. After starting in Fine Arts at Auburn University, she found herself entranced by the senior design projects on the second floor of Biggin Hall and made the switch to Graphic Design, receiving her BFA summa cum laude in 2007. After spending several years in custom publishing and marketing, Sarah Robins decided to trade in the 9 to 5 for a bigger freelance business, focusing primarily on branding, promotion, illustration, and hand-lettering.

As a designer, Sarah Robins endeavors to produce work with an honest and clear voice that will create dialogue and engage the imagination. Her fine arts background has not been lost on her design work, as she often finds that the best solutions incorporate traditional media and technique, such as drawing, painting, and collage. Her process is backed by extensive research and holistic thinking, and often draws influence from history and literature, as well as those vintage children’s picture books that were read to her as a child.

Sarah Robins’ works have been seen in Birmingham magazine, Weddings Unveiled, B-Metro, Alabama Weddings, and Celebrate! magazine. Her work has been published online at Martha Stewart Weddings, Once Wed, Style Me Pretty, and Snippet & Ink.

Sarah Robins and her husband Luke have three girls and a boy, whose childhood she hopes will share some of the creative magic of her own.
